摘要 PURPOSE: A gas treatment agent, a manufacturing method thereof, and gas refining apparatus and method are provided which remove carbon monoxide, hydrogen, carbon dioxide and water contained in a gas at the same time, maintain a high oxidation activity and have long life cycles. CONSTITUTION: The gas treatment agent is characterized in that a catalyst consisted of an inorganic porous material layer containing at least one or more of elements selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium, rhodium and ruthenium, and oxides thereof is formed on the surface of an adsorbent. The manufacturing method of the gas treatment agent comprises the processes of (a) preparing a catalyst precursor slurry or a catalyst slurry; and (b) firing the slurry coated adsorbent by coating the slurry on the adsorbent. The manufacturing method of the gas treatment agent comprises the processes of (a) preparing a slurry of inorganic porous materials; (b) firing the slurry coated adsorbent by coating the slurry on an adsorbent; (c) preparing a slurry of one or more elements selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium, rhodium and ruthenium; and (d) firing the slurry coated adsorbent by coating the slurry on the adsorbent. In a gas refining method in which the small amounts of impurities and the extremely small amounts of impurities are removed by refining a raw gas containing steam and carbon dioxide as small amount of impurities and at least carbon monoxide and/or hydrogen as extremely small amounts of impurities, the gas refining method comprises the processes of adsorbing and removing stream contained in the raw gas using a steam adsorbent; adsorbing and removing carbon dioxide contained in the raw gas using an adsorbent for carbon dioxide; and removing carbon monoxide and/or hydrogen contained in the raw gas using the gas treatment agent. The gas refining apparatus is characterized in that an adsorbent and a gas refining treatment agent are filled in a filling container with raw gas inlet and outlet so that a steam adsorbent filling layer, a carbon dioxide adsorbent filling layer and a gas treatment agent filling layer are formed in order from the side of the raw gas inlet.
