PURPOSE: A method for compensating temperatures of air and cooling water is provided to precisely control an engine by an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) detecting precise temperatures of the air and the cooling water by considering a variation of source voltage supplied to air and cooling water temperature sensors. CONSTITUTION: A variation of a source voltage is calculated according to inner heat of an ECU and a voltage regulator. Then, input voltage applied to the ECU is compensated by considering the variation of the source voltage. Then, a precise air temperature corresponding to the compensated input voltage is detected for precisely controlling an engine. Herein, the variation of the source voltage is calculated in considering a difference between a minimum source voltage of regulating the variation of input voltage and the source voltage supplied to the ECU, an element resistance value of an air temperature sensor, and a pull-up resistance value of the ECU.
