PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a circuit scale and an operation processing compared to a conventional timing reproducing unit with simple constitution which conducts a correlation operation on the two signals of a signal obtained by adding the in-phase component of a preamble signal and an orthogonal component and a signal by subtracting them and in which a correlation value whose vector length is longer in the two obtained correlation values is used for timing phase estimation. SOLUTION: An addition means adding the in-phase component and the orthogonal component of a base band signal, a subtraction means subtracting the in-phase component of the base band signal and the orthogonal component, an addition correlation operation means calculating correlation between an addition signal and a 1/2 symbol frequency component generated in a receiver-side, a subtraction correlation operation means calculating correlation between a subtraction signal and the 1/2 symbol frequency component, a vector selection means comparing the addition correlation signal and the subtraction correlation signal and selecting the larger correlation signal and a timing phase difference calculation means calculating a timing phase difference by using a vector angle which the selected correlation signal indicates are installed. |
