PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head mount display with which observation can be done without causing fatigue of the eye or the like even when recognizing almost simultaneously both the external world and the display. SOLUTION: A micro display 1 and a combination lens 2 which images the image of the micro display 1 in the retinas of the human eye are provided in a case 3. And a reflective photodetecting means 4 which consists of a block in which a light-emitting part 41 and a light receiving part 42 are provided alternatelly and which detects the brightness of reflected light reflected with the human retina is provided in a part of the micro display 1. The position adjusting means for adjusting the position of the micro display 1 and the combination lens 2 so that the relation between them may be at the optimum position by, for example, moving the combination lens 2 held by a coil 51, is provided so that the amount of detection by this reflective photodetecting means 4 may become the maximum.
