PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission line type transformer, where maximum voltage gain can be increased and high voltage can be obtained over a wide frequency range. SOLUTION: This transmission line type transformer is provided with at least a line conductor 41, constituting a transmission line and a ground conductor 42. The length (L) of the transmission line is set almost equal to 1/4 wavelength on the transmission line at an operating frequency. At least one short- circuitting part 9 which short-circuits the line conductor 41 and the ground conductor 42 is formed.
