PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that there is a possibility incapable of operating a backlight due to disconnection of lead wire or breakage of a cold cathode discharging tube caused by external force applied to high voltage side lead wire of the cold cathode discharging tube constituting the backlight of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with the liquid crystal display screen 1, a metal frame 8 to store the liquid crystal display screen 1, the cold cathode discharging tube 6 used as the backlight for the liquid crystal display screen 1 and a lead wire 2a of the high voltage side to supply power to the cold cathode discharging tube 5. The lead wire 2a of the high voltage side is wired to be stored inside the metal frame 8 in a state bent at a specified distance from the base 6 of the joint part with the cold cathode discharging tube, and then to be pulled out from the base side part of the metal frame 8 or from the apex pat of the base side to the outside. |
