PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that conventional elevator controllers cannot reduce power consumption at the peak hours of power demand because power is consumed in synchronization with elevator operation. SOLUTION: This elevator controller, having a converter rectifying AC power for converting it into DC power, an inverter converting the DC power into AC power having variable voltage and variable frequency, and a motor driven by the AC power of variable voltage and variable frequency for operating the elevator, is provided with a power storage device charged with power and a power regulation device, using the power storage device and a commercial power supply for power supply to the inverter, controlling at least either of the power storage device or the commercial power supply, and supply power required by the inverter. |
