DEVICE FOR OPENING DISCHARGE PORT OF AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE: A discharge port opening device of an air conditioner is provided to actively drive a discharge port door in the air conditioner installing a door forming a space, and to improve stability of the discharge port door by preventing a lower end portion from being lifted. CONSTITUTION: A cabinet(50) comprises a rear cabinet(53) vertically formed; a front panel(51) connected to a lower side of the rear cabinet; a discharge port door(80); a space ensuring door(85); an upper panel connected to a font side of the rear cabinet on an upper side of the front panel; and a support protrusion unit protruded forward in a lower side of a front face discharge port(75) to support the discharge port door. A door driving unit driving the discharge port door up and down comprises a driving motor fixed on the upper panel; a pinion rotating by the driving motor; and a rack connected to the pinion on inside of the discharge port door. Thus, the discharge port door moves up and down by actuation of the driving motor. Thereby, the discharge port door stably is slide-operated by moving up and down while a guide member is inserted to a guide face and a guide groove.
