PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display element that can endure the treatment necessary for cleaning of electrode surface and that has a barrier rib to avoid the contamination from the vacuum process and further, that has a negative electrode of low electric resistance. SOLUTION: In an organic electroluminescent element display board comprising a plurality of transparent or semitransparent positive electrodes on the surface of a transparent or translucent substrate, partitions made of plural conductive inorganic substance are provided on the above board perpendicularly to the above positive electrodes and in such a way as not being electrically connected with the positive electrodes and, further, the cross section of the barrier ribs is made nearly T-shape.
