PURPOSE: A video phone and extension call/called method thereof is provided to easily call and suitably select a call signal, and to detect it by respectively and suitably selecting a video phone to call in state of a parallel connecting of a plurality of the video phones only with a tele line from the near distance, relatively. CONSTITUTION: An office line detection and a call sensing unit(300) detects an office line by initially hooking switch-on, and outputs an office line signal to a micro computer(400). An office line detection and a call sensing unit(300) senses a state if the hook switch is on by a user in an office line call mode, and outputs a call sensing signal to a telephone office. A mode selecting unit(100) is switched by the office line call mode or an extension call mode by a call mode control signal from the micro computer(400). A call signal detecting unit(200) detects the call signal through the office line by using the mode selecting unit(100), or outputs a call detecting signal to the micro computer(400) detecting the call signal by the extension. The micro computer(400) receives the detected signal of the office line detection and the call sensing unit(300), and outputs the call mode control signal to the mode selecting unit(100). The micro computer(400) receives the call signal by the extension or the extension from the call signal detecting unit(200), and controls the transmission of a ball signal through a speaker.
