LINE ART IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for removing noise at the edge of a line art image. SOLUTION: The line art image is divided into image blocks by the unit of a plurality of pixels to judge presence/absence of the edge of the image within the image blocks. In the image block judged to include the edge, the gradation of each pixel within the image block is compared with a separation threshold. Then, the gradation of each pixel is replaced with a first gradation or a second gradation in accordance with the comparison result.
