PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing surely the coil in an air conditioner from freezing without impeding temperature control thereof during operation of the air conditioner and with minimum energy during stoppage of the air conditioner. SOLUTION: Hot water produced from a heat source unit H is fed through a supply header SH to an air conditioner 10, and low temperature hot water heat exchanged through the air conditioner 10 is returned back to the heat source unit H through a return header RH. The air conditioner 10 is provided with a precoil unit 11A and a main coil unit 11B wherein hot water supply to the precoil unit 11A is controlled by a control valve CVa such that hot water delivered from an outlet side coil header has a temperature of 4 deg.C by delivering hot water, supplied from an inlet side coil header, from a lower section of the outlet side coil header.
