PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device which allows enhancing the heating efficiency for a toner image on an intermediate transfer belt, suppressing the heat accumulation in the intermediate transfer belt to the minimum while keeping the conveyability of the intermediate transfer belt and stabilizing the operation of image formation on the assumption that an intermediate transfer-fixing method is adopted. SOLUTION: This image recording device is provided with the intermediate transfer belt 2 which is locally heated, a heating device 3 which melts the toner image T transferred on the intermediate transfer belt 2, a transfer-fixing device 4 which is disposed on the downstream side of the region Z heated by the heating device 3, transfers the toner image T on the intermediate transfer belt 2 onto a recording material 5 and simultaneously fixes the toner image T thereon. A rotation supporting drum 6 is disposed inside the intermediate transfer belt 2. Further, the inside surface of the intermediate transfer belt 2 is in tight contact with the rotation supporting drum 6 at least on the downstream side including the transfer-fixed region Y by means of the transfer-fixing device 4 and over the range up to a primary transfer region X with the image carrier 1. At least the region Z heated by the heating device 3 is set so as to be separated from the rotation supporting drum 6.
