PURPOSE: A real name verifying apparatus on the Internet and a method thereof are provided to obtain reliability for personal matters inputted by a person who wants to use a service by verifying the personal matters inputted by the service use-desired person through identifying a real name in opening a bank account. CONSTITUTION: A client interface(110) is provided to a client who wants to join as a member and get a real name verification. A terminal of an arbitrary bi-directional communication network can be the interface, and a Web browser displayed on a computer of the client can be the interface. A bank interface(120) is provided to a bank for verifying a real name of the client. A terminal of an arbitrary bi-directional communication network can be the interface, and a Web browser displayed on a computer of the bank can be the interface. Interfaces(110,120) are connected through the Internet using a real name verifying server, a PSTN or a LAN. The connection can be made even through a PCS or a satellite communication. Each interface includes a data converter(130) for transceiving data with the real name verifying server. The data converter(130) may include a modem or a LAN card for converting a data suitable to be transmitted through a network formed between the interface and the real name verifying server. The real name verifying server(100) is considered to have a core function for a real name verification. The real name verifying server can be a Web server constructed to perform a real name verification procedure, and the Web server may include a construction unit for initiating a homepage or transceiving a mail.
