BIPLANE ANGIOGRAPHY AND CT APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To provide a biplane angiography and CT apparatus making it possible to alternately carry out simultaneous angiography on a frontal plane and a lateral plane and CT imaging, and enhancing safety while keeping a subject from feeling discomfort. CONSTITUTION: This apparatus includes a lateral arm 30 for carrying out angiography on the lateral plane, in addition to a frontal arm 20 and a CT gantry 40. The apparatus also includes a controller 50 which moves the CT gantry 40 during the angiography to a position where it does not obstruct the angiography and also the frontal arm 20 and the lateral arm 30 to angiography positions, and which moves the frontal arm 20 and the lateral arm 30 during the CT imaging to positions where they do not obstruct the CT imaging and the CT gantry 40 to a CT imaging position. Simultaneous angiography on the two planes and the CT imaging can be altemately carried out. Movement of a top plate prevents the subject from feeling discomfort and safety can be enhanced.
