PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for facilitating exchanging of a downcomer in a reactor core spray pipe passage, which is mounted on a T-box for a reactor core spray sparger of a shroud, and to set such a device requiring no suite welding. SOLUTION: The connecting device 36 comprises a wedge flange 40, wedge 44, wedge housing 48, pipe seal 50, cylindrical pipe 52, elbow 56, lower flange 62 and shroud seal 60. The downcomer 20, when connected to the connecting device 36, is arranged passing through the wedge flange 40, the wedge 44 and the wedge housing 48. The wedge 44 has a plurality of soft and thin segments 84, extending into the wedge housing 48 for fixing the downcomer 20 to the wedge housing 48.
