PURPOSE: It is decided that there might be a change in turbine revolution speed by engine ignition delay. And then it is decided whether to use ignition delay logic to reduce transmission shock. CONSTITUTION: In a method for controlling ignition delay of electronic control unit, the ignition delay is decided(S1). Then it is decided whether the ignition delay have been carried out(S2). If the ignition delay have been carried out, a turbine rpm is changed(S3). If the ignition delay have not been carried out, the turbine rpm is not changed(S4). The turbine rpm is sensed in a transmission control unit(S5). It is decided whether there is any change in the turbine rpm(S6). If there is a change in the turbine rpm, the ignition delay logic is carried out(S7). If there is not a change in the turbine rpm, the ignition delay logic is not carried out(S8).
