PURPOSE: A deflection yoke for a cathode-ray tube is provided to optimize a characteristic of a deflection sensitivity and a neck shadow by maintaining the length of the second flange part. CONSTITUTION: A neck part includes the first neck part forming a flange. The second neck part is horizontally formed at the first neck part. A screen flange part is connected at the first neck part. A main deflection part includes the first neck part and the second neck part. A deflection yoke includes a horizontal deflection coil(31) and a vertical deflection coil. The horizontal deflection coil(31) consists of the main deflection part comprising the second neck part. The ratio of main deflection part length(L) and the second part length(l) is expressed with A=l/L, which is within the range 0.04<A<0.24. When the horizontal deflection coil is the length of 99mm and the second neck part is the length of 87mm, A is 0.172 at the basis of the length of the second neck part.
