PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface working method of an ALC plate, with which a random recessed pattern can be formed on the surface of the ALC plate with good productivity so as to improve the outward appearance of its surface. SOLUTION: This surface working method for the ALC plate is to form the pattern on the surface of the building ALC plate. The random recessed pattern, in which recessed parts are arranged at random, is formed by rolling a roller body with a large number of projections on its periphery relative to a plurality of directions under the state that the projections are pressed against the surface of the ALC plate.
