PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which printing can be performed while releasing collective printing automatically if the image data is one page data or the character size is smaller than a specified size after collection when collective printing is performed. SOLUTION: Image data inputted to an imaging apparatus is analyzed at a command processing section 101 and developed to an image at an image developing section 102. Every time when a page of bit map data is completed, it is converted into a video signal which is then transferred to a print section 103 and printed out. Since automatic release of collective printing can be determined by an automatic collective print releasing means before the image data is transferred to the print section 103, the purpose can be accomplished.
