PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diving mechanism of a bicycle having the longest interval between a pedal and a rotation shaft when applying rotating force by working on the pedal, by giving a sliding function to a pedal arm and changing the length between the pedal provided at the tip of a pedal arm and the rotation shaft. SOLUTION: This driving mechanism is formed by a guide plate 8 attached to a rotation shaft of a sprocket 3, a sliding piece 9 attached to the tip of the rotation shaft, and a pedal arm 6 slidably attached to the sliding piece, and is structured so that when rotating the pedal arm 6 by working on a pedal 7, it is rotated with a pin 10 provided on the tip side loosely engaged with a sliding groove 11 recessed on the guide plate 8, it is rotated by sliding its base side in the traveling direction along the sliding piece 9, and a length between the rotation shaft 5, and the pedal 7 gets longest in its rotating area. |
