PURPOSE: A method for monitoring state of a service control system is provided to utilize resource efficiently by performing connection open/close operation consumed much time once as much as possible and minimize blocking effect by waiting for response to a number of requests simultaneously. CONSTITUTION: All necessary connection of object to be monitored is opened all together. After waiting for response to the total connection by using input/output multiplexing system call provided by UNIX, a response to a request sent previously is selected on the basis of the result of the input/output multiplexing system call. A process corresponding to the selected response is performed after checking where the selected response was from. After completion of the process, each connection state is changed to "idle" state. If the changed state of each connection is "ready" state, a request is sent and the connection state is changed to "waiting" state. If the changed state of each connection is "waiting" state, new request for corresponding connection is not sent until the connection state is changed to "idle" state. After completion of the process, each connection state is changed to "idle" state.
