PURPOSE: An electrode structure of an electron gun for a CRT is provided to be capable of promoting a molding process and enhancing the focusing of an electron beam against a screen by removing a gap of a slot and smoothing the slope of the slot, thereby enabling a large and high resolution screen. CONSTITUTION: A rectangular slot(401) for varying the focusing force of an electron beam is formed on one side of the electrode structure. A rounded rectangular hole(402) for passing the electron beam through is formed in the center of the rectangular slot(401). The outer width of the slot(401) is equal to that of the hole(402), and the inner width of the slot(401) is equal to or less than that of a linear portion of the hole except the rounded corners.
