OPTICAL SYSTEM COMBINING FINGERPRINT IDENTIFICATION WITH VISITOR OBSERVATION

PURPOSE: An optical system combining a fingerprint identification with a visitor observation is provided to minimize the size of door lock by coupling a video phone for a home automation and the door lock. CONSTITUTION: A lens system(40) for an image inputs the image to a video phone camera in order to observe external visitors. A lens system(30) for a fingerprint inputs the fingerprint in order to recognize the fingerprint. A beam spitters(20,25) transmit selectively to a CCD(Charge-Coupled Device)(10) the data inputted from the lens system(40) for an image and the lens system(30) for a fingerprint. A light driving unit(80) generates a light for a fingerprint identification. The lens system(30) for a fingerprint forms a finger insert hole(35) near the lens system(40) for an image. The finger insert hole(35) is comprised of a collimator made by a concave lens and a convex lens so as to emphasizing a narrow area. The lens system(40) for an image is comprised of an optical lens on the front face of the video phone so as to see a wide area.
