PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide elements for molding barrier ribs for plasma display panel, that can shorten production process and which are superior in adhesion with a substrate, shape and furthermore in long-term storage and to provide a production method that can shorten production process to mold barrier ribs for plasma display panel and mold barrier ribs having superior shapes. SOLUTION: Elements for molding barrier ribs have a resin composition layer to mold barrier ribs containing inorganic and organic materials on a support film, and silane couplering agent with groups containing C=C bond is used as a component for organic materials. This production method laminates these elements for molding barrier ribs on a substrate provided with a plurality of removable relief patterns, so that the resin composition layer for molding barrier ribs make contact with the substrate and the resin composite layer to mold barrier ribs is buried in gaps of the plural relief patterns, followed by removing the relief patterns to mold patterns composed of resin composition for barrier ribs on the substrate, and then this pattern is backed.
