PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile terminal that can reduce the communication time by starting transmission from a paper after the interruption of communication in redial re-transmission on the occurrence of communication interruption on the way of the communication resulting in eliminating the need for re- transmission of pages having been normally sent. SOLUTION: An index data storage processing means stores a head address and an end address of each page of transmitted image data respectively to a prescribed memory, an information transmission quantity monitor processing means monitors the transmission quantity of information read from the prescribed memory, and a re-transmission start position storage processing means stores a re-transmission start position of the information to be retransmitted after the interruption of transmission due to detection of a transmission error. The re-transmission start processing means reads the re-transmission start position from the prescribed memory after the interruption of transmission and starts the re-transmission from that page.
