PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile navigation system in which a course for returning back to an original course can be searched while bypassing a section in a course under navigation when a driver wants to avoid traveling through that section. SOLUTION: When a car P traveling through a link L1 is navigated on a course R (=L1+R1+R2) passing through nodes 16-24, a link L2 of bypass distance a from a link La following to the link L1 is stored in a memory along with a link to a goal from a forward link Lb. After multiplying a cost obtained for a course R1 through normal calculation by an weighting coefficientβ(>1) so that the priority of the course R1 is lowered, a course is searched while setting the head link Lb of a course R2 as a goal link. A resulting course of lowermost cost (course R1' from node 16 passing through nodes 45, 46, 59, 72) is connected with the course R2 to obtain a new navigation course R' (=L1+R1'+R2). |
