摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate with little energy loss of light and an aligned output direction of light so as to obtain a liquid crystal display device with improved luminance and little consumption of electric power. SOLUTION: A fluorescent polarizing plate has a polarized light emitting layer containing an aligned fluorescent substance and a light-reflecting layer in the light source side, and moreover, an optical path controlling layer in the exit side of the polarized light emitting layer.
