<p>Annular metal rings are manufactured by winding metal strip into a tightly compacted helical coil, cutting the coil, and securing together the ends of the individual rings so formed. Compensation for distortion of the strip produced by winding the strip is made by a die against which the strip being wound is pressed by force applied through the coil.</p> |
