High-temperature-polymer electrolyte-membrane (HTM) fuel cell e.g. for vehicle drive unit

A high-temperature-polymer-electrolyte-membrane (HTM) fuel cell operates largely independently of the water content in the cell, and specifically contains a drying agent/desiccant. The HTM-fuel cell installation has at least one HTM-fuel-cell unit which can operate at a working pressure of up to 0.3 bar partial vacuum and/or a temperature above the boiling point of water and below the decomposition and/or melting temperature of the structural parts. More specifically, the fuel cell installation can operate at a working pressure of 0.3 up to 5 bar absolute, and/or at a working temperature of 80 dec C up to 300 dec C.
