PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmologic instrument with an electronic image recording device adjusting the output timing of a flash lighting signal of a digital camera to the inserting timing of an infrared cut filter into the light passage of an observation/photographing optical system. SOLUTION: A digital camera 17 is used commonly for observation and photographing. When used for observation, a light passage length correcting plate 15 is inserted into the light passage of an observation/photographing optical system 2. When used for photographing, an infrared cut filter 16 is inserted into the light passage. An operation signal of a photographing switch 23 is transmitted to a remote terminal 18 of the digital camera 17 and a flush lighting signal is transmitted to a lighting control circuit 25 from a flash lighting terminal 19 of the digital camera 17, so that light is emitted from a photographing light source 6. A delaying insertion means 24A is mounted in the main body of the apparatus for delaying the infrared cut filter 16 and inserting the filter into the light passage before the flash lighting signal is outputted when the period from the operation of the photographing switch 23 till the output of the flash lighting signal is long.
