PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely improve workability in a portable type rotary tool by composing it in such a way that both hands can be set free in carrying it, and that a hand grip of it can be easily gripped in using it. SOLUTION: This portable impact wrench 1 is provided with a battery containing part 5 at a lower end part of a hand grip 3, and a pin 11 is embedded in a rear end lower corner part 9 of a motor housing 7. A shoulder strap 15 of which one end is installed on the pin 11, and of which the other end is installed on a fixed screw 13 at a lower end part of the hand grip 3 is provided. This shoulder strap 15 is adjusted so that the hand grip 3 is positioned to be roughly horizotally around the hip of a worker when this is put on the shoulder of the worker.
