PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively obtain an insect repellent by improving the insect repelling effect of an insect repellent for clothing comprising camphor as a main component to lighten the insect repellent, incidentally to alleviate a peculiar smell of camphor and to change the smell into a comfortable smell. SOLUTION: This insect repellent for clothing is characterized in that camphor is formulated with at least one kind selected from a lemon eucalyptus oil, an extract of red pepper, an extract of Wasabia japonica and p-menthane 3,8-diol, capsaicin and allyl isothiocyanate which are components contained in the oil and the extracts as an essential component.
