<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply conduct the work for branch-connecting a branch pipe to a main pipe. SOLUTION: The ground X is excavated by a drill or the like toward a sewer pipe 10, a sheath pipe is advanced around it to abut the sewer pipe 10, and an opening section 12 is formed on a pipe wall 11. The tip section 16 of the branch pipe 15 is heated and softened by a planar heater. A pressure bag 28 is inserted into the tip section 16 of the branch pipe 15, and the pressure bag 28 and an air hose 29 are inserted together into the sheath pipe and protruded into the sewer pipe 10 from the opening section 12. When compressed air is fed, the pressure bag 28 is inflated, and the tip section 16 of the branch pipe 15 is spread and closely stuck to the mouth edge on the back side of the opening section 12. When the pressure bag 23 is shrunk into the original shape and withdrawn after the tip section 16 is hardened, the branch pipe 15 is branch- connected to the sewer pipe 10, with the opening section 12 kept at a water stop state.</p> |
