A method, system and apparatus for facilitating transactions. Aspects of the invention provide for buyers to enter into national and/or international trade transactions with sellers, in which a number of additional participants can potentially participate, the additional participants including insurers, financial institutions offering credit to buyers and/or escrow agents for holding funds, goods inspectors, and logistics co-ordinators, including shippers and/or freight forwarders. Some or all of the additional participants that actually participate in a given transaction need not be selected by either of the buyers or sellers, but instead may have been previously selected by a central co-ordinating authority prior to the transaction. |
