PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a path to be the calculation of LLR becomes an error in the case that a contending path is present exceeding a window size in a conventional soft judgment information output method using SOVA algorithm and also the problem that it is required to search for a part of a previously retrieved path again accompanying the movement of a window and useless calculation is generated at the time of calculating the contending path. SOLUTION: The states of the respective paths at the point k+1 of time are obtained from a trellis and a maximum likelihood path. Further, the path separating from the maximum likelihood path at the point k+1 of time is retrieved and it is eliminated. The paths separating from each other at the point k+1 are retrieved, the path of a larger metric difference at the point of merging with the maximum likelihood path is eliminated and thus, a surviving path is obtained. The surviving path is used and the LLR is calculated.
