The invention relates to a weigh scale comprising a bottom part and a top part which can move relative to said bottom part and a measuring transducer. According to the invention, said device can be configured in a particularly robust and easy manner by configuring the measuring transducer as an optoelectronic unit having a light source and a light-sensitive sensor device. In a special embodiment of the invention, the light source consists of a light diode (24) that sends a light beam via an optical waveguide (26) to a vertically mounted CCD sensor (28), an evaluation unit (30) having a display (20) mounted downstream being connected to said sensor. The movable top part of the weigh scale is coupled to the optical waveguide (26). The light incidence point on the CCD sensor corresponds to the lift movement of the top part, and, consequently, to the weight to be detected. |
