1289560 Steam traps FUJIWARA MFG CO Ltd 12 March 1970 [29 March 1969] 11945/70 Heading F4U A steam trap comprises a venting valve assembly which may be of the disc valve type as shown, or of the bellows, bimetallic expansion, orifice or float valve type respectively, which is removable after axial movement of casing 1 without displacing inlet and outlet fluid flow members 2, 3. Members 2 and 3 have an inlet 4 and outlet 5 connected to piping (not shown). The members 2, 3 are connected together by a single union nut 6 which is screwed onto threads at one end of the casing and encircles and bears on the member 3. The nut 6 is disconnected and moved in a direction parallel to the piping axis to allow the casing to be moved in the opposite direction so that the valve assembly can be drawn out at right angles to that axis. In a modification, Fig. 3, the casing and member 3 have complementary flanges which are secured together by nuts and bolts. |
