PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake suppressing the vibration of a pad so as to prevent the generation of noise, even if the pad made of a friction material with slits and a ventilated rotor are combined with each other. SOLUTION: This disk brake has ventilation holes 32 formed between sliding plates 26, 28; comprises the ventilated rotor 20 with the external faces in the outer circumferential side of the sliding plate set to friction faces 24a, 26a, the friction material 34, and a rear plate 26 fixed to its rear face; and is provided with the pad 22 suppressing the rotation of the ventilated rotor by pressurizing the friction material against the friction face. At least, two slits 38, 40 extending from the outer circumferential side of the ventilated rotor to the internal circumferential side are formed in the pressurized face of the friction material touching the friction face of the ventilated rotor so that presser faces 34a, 34b, 34c are provided ant the shapes of the presser faces are set larger than the width between adjoining ribs 30, 30 on the rear side of the friction face.
