PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily prevent turnover of a forklift at low cost and reduce the labor required for maintenance work, etc. SOLUTION: A front wheel and a rear wheel are provided at the front and rear of a vehicle body. A front axle serving as the axle of the front wheel is fixed to the vehicle body. A rear axle serving as the axle of the rear wheel is supported by a center pivot in such a manner as to be capable of oscillating vertically relative to the vehicle body. A lock device comprises a lock plate provided on the rear axle, and a lock mechanism provided in the vehicle body for clamping the lock plate to lock the oscillation of the rear axle. When the vehicle travels straight, the rear axle is released from the state of being locked by the lock device to enable the vehicle to stably travel off-road. At times other than when it travels straight, the rear axle is locked by the lock device to support the vehicle at four points at the front and rear wheels to prevent turnover of the vehicle body caused by inclination, etc.
