PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic leather having stretchability and a good touch, and excellent in tensile strength, peeling strength, and tearing strength. SOLUTION: This synthetic leather is formed by sequentially laminating a wet-processed microporous layer comprising a polyurethane, a polyurethane adhesive layer, and a polyurethane skin layer on a raised surface of a raised knitted fabric, wherein the raised knitted fabric is made of a ground yarn comprising a polyester multifilament and a raised yarn comprising a polyester multifilament, a ratio of the fed length of the ground yarn to that of the raised yarn is 1:1.1 to 1:1.3, and a ratio of the number of knitted loops of the ground yarn to that of the raised yarn is 1:1.
