ANODE TORCH FOR PLASMA HEATING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the concentration of a plasma arc on an electrode and to prolong the service life of an anode torch by suppressing the projecting deformation of the tip of the electrode. SOLUTION: The anode torch for a plasma heating has a flat-shaped tip of an electrode for generating a plasma and a construction in which the tip of the electrode is water-cooled. The pressure of the cooling water applied on the tip of the electrode is 1 MPa or smaller and within a pressure value with which a film boiling does not takes place. Thus a blistering at the tip of the electrode is suppressed.
