The present invention provides an obstetrical delivery assist apparatus (10) and method of use which utilizes a pair of foot stirrups (15) connected to handgrips (45), whereby the obstetric patient places each foot in a stirrup and maintains a hold on the handgrip. The patient pulls her feet toward her chest, while not exerting any outward leg force to the stirrups. The patient is able to draw her legs into a squat position while lying semi-prone on the bed, thereby significantly assisting in the delivery process of the baby. |
