SATELLITE MOBILE COMMUNICATION SERVICE SYSTEM ADOPTING FREQUENCY DIFFUSION METHOD

PURPOSE: A satellite mobile communication service system adopting a frequency spread method is provided to provide a voice, a facsimile and a data transmission and reception service between a ground and a mobile station in a Korean peninsula and neighboring maritime area by using a Mugunghwa satellite on a stationary orbit. CONSTITUTION: A central station(HUB)(12) controls and manages a satellite mobile communication network, and generates and manages a call set-up and release and statistical information for charging. A plurality of mobile terminals(13) search and track a location of a Mugunghwa satellite(11) by attaching a satellite tracking unit and a receiver thereto so that an optimum signal can be transmitted and received to and from the Mugunghwa satellite(11), and transmits and receive a voice, a facsimile and a data through a satellite mobile communication network under the control of the central station(12). The Mugunghwa satellite(11) arbitrates the voice and the facsimile data between the plurality of mobile terminals(13) or between a ground terminal and the mobile terminals(13). The central station(12) includes an interface unit(21), a digital switch(22), a CODEC/modem(23), a radio frequency processor(24) and a network manager(25) to control and manage the whole satellite mobile communication network and generate and mange the call set-up and release and the statistical information for charging. The mobile terminal(13) includes an antenna, a radio frequency processor(26), a baseband processor(27) and a user interface unit(28) in view of a functional aspect.
