Topical compositions comprising at least pentacyclic triterpene acid (0.2 %) and an emulsifying agent, liquid at 25 deg C, that is a fatty acid monoester, optionally oxyalkylenated, has an HLB of 12 or more, in a physiologically acceptable medium. Independent claims cover the process for solubilizing a pentacyclic triterpene acid by mixing with an optionally oxyalkenylated fatty acid monoester.
