METHOD FOR PREPARING INDIVIDUAL GLASS PLATE AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method for preparing an individual glass plate and its apparatus are provided, which apparatus cuts a vertical glass band drawn out from a thermal forming apparatus by inline method into individual glass plates while decreasing the defection and loss of products. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a glass band forming apparatus(1); a drawing apparatus(10) for vertically drawing the glass band; a cutting unit(50) for cutting the edge parts of the glass band; a cutting unit(52) for cutting the glass band to glass plate having a prescribed length; a horizontal transfer apparatus(40) for holding the cutting unit(52); a monitoring unit having a sensor for detecting the vertical alignment of the glass band in the vertical zone; a bending unit(56) for bending the glass band(2) in a bending zone(3b) holding a freely suspended glass band(2) and introducing the bent band into a horizontal zone(3c); and a monitoring unit for monitoring the bending radius of the glass band(2) in the bending zone(3b).
