PURPOSE: To provide a brush holder which improves its productivity by molding itself of synthetic resin or the like, and lowers the temperature of a brush holder and does not cause thermal transformation, by contriving the form of the section to hold a brush and cooling the brush. CONSTITUTION: A tubular brush holder 7 to hold a brush 5 in passage state and a frame fixer 8 to fix the brush holder 17 to the frame 1 of a commutator motor so that the tip of the brush 5 may slide on a commutator 4 are molded integrally of resin material, and a cavity is made between the inwall of this brush holder 7 and the brush 5, and an air current such as a blower discharge flow or the like is let flow to this cavity.
