<p>A light-emitting chip device (10) with a case includes a chip (12) bonded to an electrode (16a) formed on a substrate (14). A light-emitting device includes a case (20). Holes (24a, 24b) are provided in the middle of lower parts of sides (22a, 22b) of the case, while steps (26a, 26b) are provided on the upper parts of the sides. Transparent resin for sealing the chip is filled into the case through the holes. The transparent resin flows up in the case to force air out from air vents formed in part of the steps.</p> |
