The method involves producing a movement of the camera using control elements driven by drive electronics, acquiring an image of an optical test structure with the moving camera, determining all degrees of freedom of the camera with a position detection device and an inertial navigation system, computing a motion-compensated image and comparing the image with a desired image of the test structure. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for calibrating an aerial photography camera.
