The arrangement produces the minimum stress to a patient. The required characteristics to obtain the profile are obtained from a one-channel electroencephalogram and the variability of the heartbeat. The heartbeat period is determined from the pulse or from an electrocardiogram. The electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram and pulse sensor electrodes are placed on the forehead or behind the ear.
